Aim of the project

Aim is to develop conceptual provisions for rural women’s life quality improvement based on the study of theories, models, and modern approaches to gender equality, to evaluate the level of access in rural areas of Kazakhstan and substantiate the mechanisms and directions of poverty reduction.

 Research methods

In this scientific project AP14869297 “Priorities and mechanisms against rural women of Kazakhstan unequal access to the resources” used three methodological approaches

STEP surveys

Data collection on adult population skills under the framework of four components (skills, attitude, work capacity, and productivity). It is predicted that data collection will be conducted in two stages in 2022 and 2023, in different regions of Kazakhstan (from districts to villages).

 

Descriptive analysis

Descriptive statistical analysis) of quantitative data in the context of regions, districts, and small settlements and villages. Secondary data will be collected from the annual statistical data of the Republic of Kazakhstan, various data from regional statistical agencies, available electronic sources, etc.

Econometric analysis

Analysis of quantitative data based on the use of the discrete choice model, the parameters of the binary model will be presented and interpreted. For econometric analysis regression, a discrete-choice model will be used. Consequently, binary model parameters will be presented and interpreted to obtain accurate results.
