Project Manager Anel A.Kireyeva

By the decision of the National Scientific Council on August 24 – September 02, 2022, the grant project AP14869297 was approved for funding with 41.26 points (Applicant Institute of Economics CS MSHE RK)

According to the opinion of UN experts, amidst the escalation of the environmental virus and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, people who do not have access to access to adequate food, safe drinking water, and social services increased in number by 20%, and the majority are rural women and girls. Moreover, women complete a large proportion of unpaid labor related to care and householding in rural regions. In this regard, our research is directed at poverty reduction in rural regions of Kazakhstan by developing the mechanisms against unequal access of rural women to natural, social, economic, and digital resources.

Objectives of the project

2022 – to study theories, models, and modern approaches to gender equality practice and substantiate conceptual provisions of quality of life improvement

2023 – to develop author methodology for assessing gender gaps in access to natural, social, economic, and digital resources in rural areas of Kazakhstan (based on primary and secondary data)

2024 – to substantiate mechanisms and directions against rural women of Kazakhstan with equal access to resources to reduce poverty
